Patient Story

Video; Against the Odds: A Pancreatic Cancer Survivor's Story Against the Odds: A Pancreatic Cancer Survivor's Story

The University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center, the state's only comprehensive cancer center, sees patients with pancreatic cancer. Patients are seen in our multidisciplinary clinic by a team of surgeons, radiologists, medical oncologist and radiation oncologists who specialize in pancreatic cancer.

Surgery to remove the pancreas or part of the pancreas may be recommended by our surgical oncologists. Pancreatic surgery is a complex procedure. At the Carbone Cancer Center, our surgeons are skilled in the latest surgical techniques. Chemotherapy and radiation therapy may be offered prior to or after surgery, or recommended alone if surgery is not an option.
