Lung Cancer Diagnosis and Detection
Thoracic (chest) surgeons at the UW Carbone Cancer Center have specialized training and expertise in lung cancer diagnosis and detection procedures. Their training allows them to perform innovative procedures that are often not available at all centers. Some of them include:
- CT Guided Needle Localization
- Electromagnetic Navigational Bronchoscopy (EMN or ENB)
- Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS)
- Fluorescence Bronchoscopy
- Mediastinoscopy
