The University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center, the state's only comprehensive cancer center, sees patients with head and neck cancers. The UW Head and Neck Cancer Program and the Carbone Cancer Center bring specialists from a variety of disciplines together to provide innovative and effective treatment for patients with head and neck cancers.
Patients are seen by a multidisciplinary team of medical specialists including otolaryngology, radiation oncology, medical oncology, speech-language pathology, dentistry and neuroradiology. Our program also includes a highly skilled supportive staff including audiologists, voice and swallow specialists, nutritionists, pain specialists and a nurse coordinator.
Our specialists treat patients with cancers of the head and neck including:
- Pharynx (throat)
- Larynx (voice box)
- Lip and oral cavity
- Sinus and nasal cavity
