Robert Jeraj, PhD

Dr. Jeraj has a broad background in medical physics and specific training and expertise in key research areas. He has extensive research experience in the use of molecular imaging for treatment assessment and use of novel imaging in drug development. He leads the UW Carbone Cancer Center (UWCCC) Imaging and Radiation Sciences scientific program and co-directs the UW Image Analysis Center (IMAC). As a leader of the TIRWG, he oversees concept development, protocol design and implementation in trials incorporating novel anti-cancer drugs with imaging endpoints. Among other duties, he is chair of two working groups on the Future of Medical Physics Research and Academic Training and Imaging for Treatment Assessment at the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM).  He is also a member of the Medical Physics committee at the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group (RTOG) and the Experimental Imaging Sciences Committee at American College of Radiology Imaging Network (ACRIN).

Scott Perlman, MD, MS

Dr. Perlman is the Section Chief of Nuclear Medicine, Director of the UW PET Imaging Center and Director of the Radiopharmaceutical Production Facility. His research interests include PET imaging in oncology and the use of positron emission tomography to evaluate inflammatory disease. Dr. Perlman provides expertise in a wide range of nuclear medicine services including general nuclear medicine, nuclear cardiology and Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scans.

Ms. Nutt, the UWCCC's Assistant Director for Translational Research, has more than 25 years of experience in research at the University of Wisconsin including research administration, technical training and bench research. She has extensive experience with multi-investigator grant applications and program management as well as expertise in pre and post award administration of research programs. This includes technical and regulatory management of multidisciplinary and trans-disciplinary research. She also directs the UWCCC Office of Translational Research Services
