The mission of the Protocol Review and Monitoring System (PRMS) is to provide the necessary scientific and regulatory oversight of all clinical and translational research conducted at UW Carbone Cancer Center (UWCCC). This system is comprised of one main committee, the Protocol Review and Monitoring Committee (PRMC), which meets biweekly. It is responsible for evaluating the scientific merit, resource allocation, trial priority and trial progress (via accrual monitoring) of all new and ongoing clinical and translational research protocols. Additionally, the PRMC reviews all cancer related clinical research for compliance with the UW Conflict of Interest policies and assures an appropriate Data and Safety Monitoring Plan is included in each proposal.
PRMC members are UWCCC faculty members who come from multiple disciplines with a breadth of experience in clinical, research and regulatory affairs.
