The TSB BioBank is aimed at supporting and serving research conducted at the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center (UWCCC), the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and the University of Wisconsin System.


The TSB BioBank provides centralized collection, storage, analysis and distribution of quality biospecimens for research purposes and to ensure that service procedures follow confidentiality, safety and other regulatory standards. 



  • Collection, processing, and distribution of biospecimens
  • Flash frozen, cryopreserved, and OCT embedded biospecimens
  • Slide creation
  • Customized biospecimen acquisition
  • Tissue microarrays
  • Bioanalyzer and Cryostat rental
  • Expedited tissue requests for pilot studies

Any published research which received funding from the UWCCC Cancer Center Support Grant (CCSG), including the use of UWCCC Shared Resources to generate or analyze data or conduct clinical trials, must reference the UWCCC. See Acknowledging UWCCC in Publications, Posters and Presentations.
