The Spirit of EAGLES (SOE) program addresses comprehensive cancer control among American Indians through partnerships with tribes, the Network for Cancer Control Research among American Indian / Alaska Native populations, multiple cancer centers, the American Cancer Society (ACS) and many other partners.
Spirit of EAGLES is directed by Judith S. Kaur, MD, Mayo Clinic-Rochester, and it is one of 23 Community Networks Program Centers funded through the National Cancer Institute's Center to Reduce Cancer Health Disparities (1U54CA153605-01).
The UW Carbone Cancer Center (UWCCC) has been a leading partner of SOE since the program's inception in 2000. UW Spirit of EAGLES is a program of UWCCC's Cancer Health Disparities Initiative.
