These policies are mandatory for all people residing in UW Carbone Cancer Center (UWCCC) space.
Acknowledging UWCCC in Publications
- If you are in cancer center space, regardless of funding sources, you must acknowledge the "UW Carbone Cancer Center, Madison, WI" in the author attributions for the publication. This can be in place of, or in addition to, department or school acknowledgments.
- If you receive funding from the UWCCC Cancer Center Support Grant (CCSG) for research you are publishing (this includes use of UWCCC Shared Resources to generate or analyze data or conduct clinical trials), you must acknowledge the CCSG "P30 CA014520".
- If you are conducting clinical research (regardless of the funding source), which is reviewed by and reported to the PRMC and/or DSMC, then you must acknowledge the CCSG "P30 CA014520".
- You must submit the publication for inclusion in PubMed Central and obtain a pub med CID. When submitting a publication to PubMed Central, indicate the CCSG "P30 CA014520" followed by our funding year which indicates the number of years we have had the CCSG. The funding year is April 1 - March 31. (The first year of our grant was 1973, thus our current grant year is 39 until April 1, 2013). Acknowledging the UWCCC in Posters, and Presentations
If you are creating a poster or power point presentation you must acknowledge UWCCC in the presentation. Use of the logo is preferred. Please contact Craig Robida (608-263-4982) if you need a logo.
