It's not uncommon to have difficulty coping with a diagnosis of cancer and its treatment. Our cancer psychologists at UW Health in Madison, Wisconsin work specifically with cancer patients and their families in our Cancer Clinics. Both individual and family counseling is available.

Clinical Social Work ServicesClinical social work services are available to people with cancer diagnoses, their family members, and other support persons. Services include support with the emotional issues of cancer, impact on family, adjustment to the illness and treatment, and assistance with financial, disability, access and vocational issues.

Spiritual Care Services
Our Spiritual Care Services has a chaplain who works specifically with patients with cancer and their families, providing pastoral and emotional support. Chaplains help patients identify their spiritual and emotional resources and can address meaning of life issues.
Available to all oncology, hematology, and bone/blood marrow transplant patients and families. Call (608) 263-3592.
A chaplain is also available 24 hours a day and can be reached by dialing UW paging at (608) 262-2122.
