Power2 Athletic Performance Power Track ProgramUW Health Sports Medicine's Power2 Athletic Performance Power Track program will help you start the track season with more speed, agility and power.
 
Goals:  If your game is to run faster, PowerTrack is your program. Using some of the most current research in the field of sports science, our coaches will lead you through a program that will improve your speed through:
  • Increased mass-specific force (get strong without getting "big")
  • Improved stride length (cover more ground with each step) 
  • Decreased ground contact time (get off the ground faster ? move faster)
Running fast is truly about your ability to produce force fast and repeat that process consistently. Research shows improving lower body strength and power improves running speed in sprinting and in distances up to 5k. This program is not about running technique, we?ll leave that up to the track coaches. This program is about improving your horsepower to help you run fast.
