Fitness Center Exercise Classes
The UW Health Sports Medicine Fitness Center offers a variety of fitness, health and athletic performance classes for adults of all ages and fitness levels.
Classes are offered in the Fall, Winter/Spring, and Summer sessions. Many classes can be joined in progress with fees prorated (space permitting). Classes are half-price for Fitness Center members. Members of Unity and GHC HMOs, UW Sports Medicine Multisport Club members, UW Health employees and employees of businesses in the University Research Park receive 15 percent off class prices.
Our goal is to help you incorporate exercise into your life on an enjoyable and consistent basis.
Search Classes, Dates and Times
You can register online for a Sports Medicine Fitness Center exercise class. To do so, select the class you are interested in attending from the list of available classes. Once you view the class, you will be able to see how many spaces are available and complete the registration process.
Some (but not all) classes can be joined in progress (i.e. after their start date). These classes will have a prorated fee adjusted at the 25 percent, 50 percent and 75 percent point of the class's duration. See the specific class's description for details on eligibility requirements for joining after its start date.
Who can participate?
All exercise classes are open to the public. Affiliation with the University of Wisconsin or UW Hospital and Clinics is not necessary to participate in any class. Our instructors are especially skilled at helping people with injuries, illnesses or other medical conditions select classes best suited for their needs.
- All classes have limited enrollment, so please register early.
- Participants who wish to re-enroll in a class they are currently taking may do so during the early registration period (one week before open registration).
- You may begin classes after the starting date for a prorated fee.
