Graduate Medical Education at University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics strives to maintain house officer stipend levels at the mean of state-owned Midwest hospitals. Annual mean rates are based on the Council of Teaching Hospitals annual stipend survey and adjusted as necessary. Stipend levels depend on individual entrance requirements and previous training applicable toward eligibility for board certification in the training specialty.
