Pediatric Cardiology

J. Carter Ralphe, MD, has joined American Family Children's Hospital as Chief of the Pediatric Cardiology Division.


Board certified in pediatrics and pediatric cardiology, Ralphe completed his residency and fellowship at University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics. He is also a graduate of State University of New York, Downstate Medical School.


A native of Philadelphia, Ralphe comes to Madison with his wife and four children from Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, where he served on the Pediatric Cardiology team for three years.


"I am really excited about the opportunity to help us grow a comprehensive children's cardiovascular health program here at American Family Children's Hospital," Ralphe says. "We have a wonderful new children's hospital that combines state-of-the-art clinical facilities with unparalleled amenities for our patients and their families. We have a dedicated team of pediatric cardiologists and nurse practitioners who provide prompt, expert care in a tremendously nurturing environment.
