Dr. Jeffrey Meade Named Regional Medical Director
Pediatrician Jeffrey Meade, MD, PhD has been named medical director for University Health Care, Inc (UHC). In this role, Dr. Meade will collaborate with local and regional physicians and administrators to foster relationships that focus on patient centered care through communication and seamless transitions between primary and specialty care.
As UHC medical director, Dr. Meade will chair the regional subgroup of the UW Health Ambulatory Operations Council, co-chair the UW Health Outreach Steering Committee and continue as a member of the American Family Children's Hospital Advocacy Board.
Dr. Meade completed his medical degree at University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health followed by a pediatric internship and residency at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He returned to Watertown, WI in 1998 to open an independent pediatric/primary care clinic with his twin brother, Jim.
He served as a member of the Watertown Regional Medical Center Board of Directors from 2003 until 2009 when he was appointed their first chief medical officer.
