Pneumonia Quality Reports

Pneumonia is a serious infection in the lungs that occurs when small droplets that contain a bacteria, virus, or fungus are breathed in.. 
 

The chart belows displays the percent of UW Hospital and Clinics pneumonia patients who got all the recommended care appropriate for them, including:

  1. Smoking cessation education
  2. Pneumovax and influenza vaccination screening
  3. Received antibiotics within six hours of arrival
  4. Antibiotic treatment consistent with recommendation (both in and outside of ICU)
  5. Blood cultures collected in emergency department adn given to ICU patients within 24 hours of arrival
