News Long-term Care Key for Childhood Cancer Survivors Clinic Provides Help, Support for Childhood Cancer Survivors The Caring for Life Clinic is designed specifically to help the survivors of childhood cancer.
Clinic Goals
Childhood Cancer Survivor Clinics
Approximately 80 percent of children diagnosed with cancer will be cured, but occasionally the cancer and treatment will result in negative effects on growing bodies and developing minds. Also, the stress of the illness can leave a lasting impact on children and their families.
The Caring For Life Clinic was established over 10 years ago to meet the unique needs of our survivors. Working together with the Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Division, we provide social services, health psychology and specialty services as necessary. All patients will also receive a medical summary and recommendations for long-term follow-up.
Outlook Life
Outlook: Life Beyond Childhood Cancer was one of the first websites to address issues facing childhood cancer survivors. It has grown and changed over the years, but remains a resource for childhood cancer survivors to find information and events relevant to their experiences.
