Balance deficits can be the result of a variety of factors. Several sensory systems work together to produce functional balance responses. These include the vestibular system, the proprioceptive/somatosensory system, and the visual system.
Our facility utilizes a computerized balance assessment system designed to sort out deficits, help pin point specific problems areas and direct therapy interventions. This information is compared to normative data.
The system provides data that is useful for balance training and in determining objective progress in training as well.
