Green Beans with Garlic and Oregano
1 bag frozen green beans (10 oz. or 16 oz.)
1-2 tablespoons of oregano
1-2 cloves of thinly sliced garlic
2 tablespoons of canola oil
1 tablespoon of lemon juice
Note: You will need a non-stick frying pan with a lid
Heat two tablespoons of canola oil in a non-stick frying pan at medium heat.
Slice one or two cloves of garlic as thin as you can and stir into the heated oil. Continue stirring as the garlic lightly browns. Be careful not to let it burn. If garlic burns, dump out oil and garlic, wipe out the pan and start over.
Once the garlic is lightly browned, put the green beans and oregano in the pan, lower heat, and cover until beans are tender.
Once the beans are tender, place in a serving bowl, splash with lemon juice and serve immediately.
