UW Health's pediatric gastroenterologists provide evaluation and treatment for a wide range of gastrointestinal and hepatologic disorders. With expertise provided by four physicians and two nurse practitioners, a registered nurse and a registered pediatric dietician, our clinic can manage complex and chronic gastrointestinal disease.
This team of professionals offers care through a specialized outpatient clinic and at the bedside at UW Children's Hospital, as well as at two outreach centers, all in an effort to improve the quality of life for children with gastrointestinal and hepatologic disorders throughout the Midwest.
- Evaluation and treatment of gastroesophageal reflux, peptic ulcers, Chrohn's disease, colitis, constipation and diarrhea, and food allergies
- Management of liver disease, including hepatitis (B, C and autoimmune), alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency and liver transplantation consultation
- Nutritional support and services, including gastrostomy feeding tubes and support for underweight infants and children
