UW Health's Pediatric Hematology and Oncology specialists at American Family Children's Hospital and the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center, the only comprehensive cancer center in Wisconsin, provide state-of-the-art cancer care for infants, children and adolescents with cancer and hematological disorders in Madison, Wisconsin.
Our Pediatric Hematology and Oncology staff encompasses a wide range of expertise, including peripheral blood stem cell, umbilical cord blood and bone marrow transplantation.
The Caring for Life childhood cancer survivor clinic is also available, designed specifically to meet the unique needs of our survivors.
The Pediatric Hematology and Oncology program is a member of:
- Children's Oncology Group (COG)
- Pediatric Blood and Marrow Transplant Corsortium (PBMTC)
- New Approches to Neuroblastoma Therapy (NANT)
As a member of these programs, our hematology-oncology physicians have access to the latest and most effective treatments and clinical trials. Our physicians also conduct investigation initiated clinical trials through the University of Wisconsin-Madison, advancing research in the understanding, prevention and treatment of pediatric cancers.
