Comprehensive diagnostics

Pathologists at UW Health conduct extensive research in the areas of biology and chemistry of connective tissues, toxicology, immunology and neuroimmunology, pathogenesis of AIDS, carcinogenesis, kidney, endocrine, cardiac and pulmonary diseases, role of free radicals in myocardial ischemia and reperfusion injury, quality assurance in clinical labs, lipid metabolism, catecholamine metabolism and endorphin metabolism and cancer markers.
