Over the last two decades, survival rates for childhood cancer have increased to roughly 80%. Many experts admit that we are entering "new territory" as survivors grow and age. While some issues that may affect survivors are know, there are many unknowns about the long-term impact of cancer treatment.

To help maintain health and well-being, it is critical for childhood cancer survivors to become advocates for themselves. They need to understand the treatments they experienced, monitor their current health and be aware of possible complications or special needs they may have.

This section is intended to provide childhood cancer survivors with resources to learn more about the issues they may encounter throughout their lives and to discover others who share their experiences.
