Resources for Children Dealing with Death or Loss

UW Organ and Tissue Donation suggests the following resources for grieving children.

 

 
Resource  Description
Camp Amanda-Minnesota  A special camp for children and teens who have experience the death of a parent, sibling, or significant person in their lives. 

Dougy Center 

The Dougy Center is a nonprofit organization that provides support for grieving children and teens.
GriefWorks BC Griefworks provides resources, books, and articles specific to the needs of teens and children.
Highmark Caring Foundation  Offers peer support groups to children and parents following the death of a loved one.
KidsAid Kidsaid is a safe place for kids to help each other deal with grief and loss. It's a place to deal with feelings in our e-mail support group, to share and view artwork and stories, and for parents and kids to ask questions and find answers.
Margaret Ann's Place Wisconsin Center of hope for grieving children.
Rainbows Support group for children.
The Center for Grieving Children

Provides educational and support materials to grieving children, teens, their families, schools and other community agencies that support them.
