Expanding Our Vision Fund

This source of funding will play a critical role in setting Wisconsin apart from other ophthalmology departments around the country. It will support new initiatives as our physicians and researchers continue their work on eye diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. It also will fund research in ocular epidemiology, oncology and pediatrics.

 

Gail and Gordon Derzon Endowment Fund for Patient Assistance

Established in honor of Gordon Derzon, former UW Hospital and Clinics president and CEO, funds are used to help needy patients with expenses such as transportation, medications, lodging, meals and other needs that may arise. Friends of UW Hospital and Clinics is the largest donor to this fund.

 

 

Created at the request of of David F. Giroux II and Anne Morgan Giroux, this fund will provide an annual cash award to a faculty member or research academic staff member in the Department of Neurology whose work contributes to the Department's pursuit of scientific discovery and clinical application.

 

 

The general purpose of this fund is for financial assistance to needy patients requiring eye care at UW Hospital and Clinics and helps defer the costs of surgery, transportation and/or housing needs of patients undergoing eye care treatment.

 

 

The sole purpose of the fund is to support research efforts of the faculty, residents, fellows and staff of the Sports Medicine Center. This includes research in exercise science, physical therapy, athletic training and pediatric, orthopedic and family practice sports medicine.

 

 

Funds are used to purchase works of art for UW Hospital and Clinics for the enjoyment and distraction of patients, families and visitors.

 

 

The purpose of this fund is to aid the UW Hospital and Clinics in its teaching, research, health care delivery and community service mission.

 

UW Hospital and Clinics Patient Assistance Fund

Gifts made to this fund are used to assist patients and families by covering expenses related to transportation to the hospital and clinics, medications, lodging, meals, short-term child care or other emergent needs.

 

 

This fund benefits the Women’s Health Clinic at UW Hospital and Clinics through support of patient care activities and education.
