General Obstetrics and Gynecology

The Division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology is comprised of a team of board-certified obstetricians/gynecologists and nurse practitioners, practicing at six sites within the Madison area.

We provide a broad spectrum of services to women of all ages that is unparalleled in our community. Such services include but are not limited to basic and specialized medical and surgical services, ranging from primary gynecologic health care to advanced techniques in diagnosing and treating infertility problems and treating malignancies of the female genital tract.

 

Our physicians perform gynecologic surgery at both Meriter and the Madison Surgery Center. We are skilled in a wide variety of surgical procedures including pelvic organ prolapsed, incontinence and minimally invasive procedures, including laparoscopic, hysterectomies and laparoscopic supracervical hysterectomies.

 

We serve as consultants, offering pre-conception counseling and screening, contraceptive counseling and management, infertility evaluation and treatment, and obstetrical consultative services. In this role, we often establish gratifying, long-term relationships with both patients and referring physicians.

 

We are the only Madison-based practice to provide obstetrical services at both St. Mary's and Meriter hospitals and take pride in providing outstanding clinical care. We are also devoted to the education and training of future physicians.

 

We teach not only in the classroom and outpatient setting, but provide hands on training in labor and delivery ward. We work collaboratively with specialty services within our Department, with the UW Certified Midwife program, and serve as consultants to Family Practice physicians from several local and regional practices.

A Day in the Life: Dr. Gregory Bills

 

Gergory Bills, MD, is co-director with Brenda Jenkin, MD, of the Division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology. One of the favorite aspects of Dr. Bills' practice is caring for a couple experiencing pregnancy for the first time.

 

Together with his colleagues, Dr. Bills cares for a variety of gynecologic conditions to help patients maintain healthy and happy lives.
