Featured Events from 2009

Among the events featured in the slideshow are:

  • Madison Mini Marathon

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology was proud to serve as the charity partner of the inaugural Madison Mini-Marathon & 5K. The race was held on August 29 and welcomed a sold-out group of runners and walkers. A portion of the proceeds raised through this event were deposited into the "Healthy Women, Healthy Babies" fund. This fund was created to promote awareness about healthy lifestyles of women of all ages and how their decisions to make healthy choices impact not only their own lives, but the lives of their current and future family members. The purpose of the fund is to provide discretionary support to the Chair and aid the Department in its clinical, academic and public service roles with support from grateful patients, alumni, friends and the community.

  • Resident Education Day

The Department of OBGYN hosted Educational Day on April 16, 2009. Visiting professor, Debra DaRosa, PhD, from the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University was the keynote speaker.
