Woman in silhouette, Are you ready for a makeover that could change your life?, Go Red for Women's Makeover ChallengeMeet Amanda, Kathy and Maria - three women from the greater Madison area taking part in a 12-Week Heart Makeover.

 

It's a makeover that could save their lives.

 

Meet our challengers, and follow their journey as they work with UW Health doctors, nutritionists and exercise physiologists on developing heart-healthy lifestyles and breaking old habits.

At 28 years old, newlywed Amanda has an eagerness to start a family, inspiring her to make a complete lifestyle change through diet and exercise.

Having a strong family history of heart disease, self-proclaimed procrastinator Kathy is determined to become stronger and healthier for herself and her family. 

 

 

MariaMaria

Maria, a mother to seven boys, one born with a congenital heart defect, is motivated to continue watching her family grow and enjoy life by committing to living a consistent healthy lifestyle.

Wear Red Day! Friday, February 5

Go Red For Women Red Dress LogoGo bold, and Go Red! Wear red on Friday, February 5, to show your support for the fight against heart disease in women.

 

And on Thursday, February 4, throw on your favorite red dress over your winter clothing and Dash to the State Capitol in support of women's heart health.

 

The first 100 participants to complete the 2-block dash will receive a free goodie bag and  t-shirt. Then, celebrate your dash at Brocach Irish Pub with free appetizers and specials.
