
Living with cancer is similar to being an athlete. It requires, among many things, perserverence, strength and determination; a spirit embodied by two cancer patients who share their inspiring stories this month.
Men's College Basketball coach Bob Knight understands the athletic spirit, having won more NCAA Division I basketball games than any other coach. He brings his message to support the UW Carbone Cancer Center in September.

Earlier this year Dan Lester told his doctor at the UW Carbone Cancer Center that he wanted to one day ride his bike to one of his appointments. He lives in Waupun, a full 60 miles from Madison.
