UW Health's e-Health Innovation Office Earns National Honors

Computer MouseMADISON - UW Health's e-Health Innovation Office earned five awards for its work on uwhealth.org during the 14th annual Healthcare Internet Conference last month in Las Vegas.

 

E-Health was honored in four of 12 categories in Strategic Health Care Communications' eHealthcare Leadership Awards, including being one of just six organizations nationwide to receive the Organizational Commitment Award.

 

"I was so pleased to have won the eHealth Organizational

eHealthcare Leadership Awards and Greystone.net and StayWell Custom Communications Best In Class Awards

Commitment award," e-Health director Rebecca Broering said. "It demonstrates that UW Health recognizes the importance of our online presence and how we continue to evolve our online strategy as technology and consumer expectations continue to evolve."

 

The eHealth Organizational Commitment Award looked at several categories and recognized e-Health's overall "commitment to using the Internet and technology to help achieve the organization’s mission and strategic business objectives."

 

In the classification for hospitals with 400 beds or more, e-Health claimed a gold award for Best Employee Recruitment (www.uwhealth.org/careers) and silver awards for Best Overall Internet Site and Best Interactive Site.

 

E-Health also was lauded in the eighth annual Greystone.Net and StayWell Custom Communications Best In Class Awards. The Our UW Health Community site and online tools - www.uwhealth.org/ourcommunity - earned the gold award in the Innovator's Award category.
