UW Health Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Experts Offer Services in Dodgeville

Doctor and patient inspecting a joint replacement deviceMadison, Wisconsin - Two members of the UW School of Medicine and Public Health Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation will provide sports medicine and joint replacement services at the Mineral Point Medical Center, Dodgeville Clinic beginning Wednesday, April 6.

 

Dr. Tamara Scerpella will provide sports medicine services and Dr. Matthew Squire will provide orthopedic joint replacement consultations.

 

Dr. Scerpella is a professor in the department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation. She sees all types of sports related musculoskeletal injuries and specializes in arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the shoulder and knee. She is also a team physician for University of Wisconsin Badger athletes.

 

Dr. Squire is an assistant professor in the department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation. He specializes in joint replacement including hip and knee replacement, hip resurfacing and partial knee replacement.

 

"We are pleased to offer orthopedic and sports medicine services in our area for patients who want to see a UW Health provider due to insurance of preference. This service is not only available for our patients but for other patients from surrounding areas as well," says Mary Walrack, certified medical manager of the Mineral Point Medical Center.

 

Appointments are available on Wednesdays and can be scheduled by contacting the Mineral Point Medical Center, Dodgeville Clinic at (608) 935-2308.
