Stroke is the third leading cause of death and the number one cause of serious, long-term disability in the United States. Stroke affects approximately 700,000 people every year, but most adults can't name even a single symptom of stroke. Can you?

 

Symptoms include:

  • Sudden numbness or weakness
  • Sudden vision problems
  • Sudden difficult walking or dizziness
  • Sudden, severe headache
  • Sudden trouble speaking or understanding

May is stroke month and a good time to make sure you know the signs and symptoms  and learn how you can reduce your risk.
