Kids' Art Calendar Supports Children's Hospital

MADISON - While the winter holidays may be a few months away, it is never too early to think about affordable gifts – especially something as unique as a 2009 calendar featuring high-quality artwork from patients and siblings from the American Family Children's Hospital.

 

Produced by Friends of UW Hospital and Clinics, the first-ever "Kids' Art" calendar includes 13 beautiful pieces of childrens' art.

Calendars are available for $14.99 at the American Family Children's Hospital Gift Shop, the UW Hospital Gift Shop, at local Barnes and Nobles stores, and at the Friends Web site.

Best of all, every dollar of proceeds will support patient and family needs at American Family Children's Hospital.

Friends Board Secretary Debbie Cray, who chairs the Friends Product Line committee, said she was overwhelmed by the comments from patients and family members who contributed artwork for the calendar.

"One mom said this was the perfect way to bring closure to her child's hospital experience," Debbie says. "It really left these children thinking of their time here in such a positive light."
