Key Up for Kids Event Raises More Than $8,000 for Children's Hospital
MADISON - The Key Up for Kids Piano Playathon, held on February 12, 2011 at Hilldale Shopping Center, raised more than $8,000 to benefit the American Family Children's Hospital.
The 19th annual event organized by the Madison Area Friends of Piano (MAFOP) included more than 300 performers and thousands of listeners, making it Madison’s largest public piano performance.
Proceeds from Key Up for Kids benefit the the hospital's Child Life program,
which helps "kids be kids" while in the hospital. Donations provide toys, games and supplies for many music and art activities for patients and their siblings during their stay.
