Madison, Wisconsin - UW Health is once again participating in a number of projects to help brighten the holidays for area families in need.
Check out the projects that are part of our Drive to Share and get involved.
We're continuing our partnership with NBC15's Share Your Holidays food drive to support the Second Harvest Foodbank and the Marine Corps' Toys For Tots toy drive.
All UW Health clinics (listed below) are public drop-off sites for these two wonderful causes. Please bring non-perishable, non-expired food items and/or new, unwrapped toys to any UW Health clinic during normal business hours between Nov. 12 and Dec. 7.
If you'd rather make a financial contribution to Second Harvest Foodbank, you can do so online. For every dollar donated, Second Harvest is able provide three meals.
Some of the most-needed items include: Granola bars, fruit and pudding cups, canned soup with pop-tops, cacaroni and cheese, individually packaged crackers, shelf-stable milk, individual cereal bowls and boxes, complete meals (stews, pasta mixes), meals in a box (such as Tuna Helper or Hamburger Helper), tuna, peanut butter, jelly, pasta sauce, dry pasta, cereal and over-the-counter medications such as Tylenol and Benadryl.
To donate to the Toys for Tots program, mail checks to:
Toys for Tots Foundation
6001 Manufacturers Drive
Madison, WI 53704
We'd like to thank our patients and employees for their generosity to those less fortunate, and wish everyone a warm holiday season.

Love Lights
Honor and remember the loved ones in your life through Friends of UW Hospital and Clinics' Love Lights program. For a minimum donation of $5, a light will be placed on the Love Light trees located between the hospital and clinics entrances at UWHC. Place three lights for $10 or a strand for $100. Orders are due Dec. 1.
The public is invited to attend one of the two Remembrance Ceremonies on Dec. 9 at the Atrium at University of Wisconsin Hospital. The 4pm and 6pm programs both conclude outside with the tree lighting ceremony.
Proceeds from this program support patient and family services at UWHC and American Family Children's Hospital. To purchase a Love Light or for more information, visit www.friendsofuwhc.org.
