UW Health's Nurse Midwives Talk About the Importance of the Blanket DriveMADISON - With winter approaching, the warmth of a blanket will be handy for many needy mothers and infants.

UW Health obstetrics and gynecology clinics collected donations of blankets and diapers at their seven locations.

The blankets were delivered to the Harambee Center for distribution to families in need.

"At this time of the year, extending ourselves in all ways possible to those less fortunate is vitally important and part of who we are," said Laurel Rice, MD, professor and chair of obstetrics and gynecology at the UW School of Medicine and Public Health.
