Madison, Wisconsin - The fourth annual Andy North and Friends raised more than $1 million for the UW Carbone Cancer Center.
North, a cancer survivor, pro golfer and ESPN golf analyst, made the announcement today at Trappers Turn Golf Club.
More than 650 people attended a dinner at the Kalahari Resort and 160 people participated in a golf outing at Trappers Turn. North and a host of sports celebrities including Hall of Famer Robin Yount, pro golfer Sherri Steinhauer and ESPN Monday Night Football play-by-play announcer Mike Tirico raised money for cancer research at the UW Carbone Cancer Center.
Since the event was started in 2009, Andy North and Friends have raised more than $2 million for the Andy North fund for cutting-edge research and promising new ideas for cancer treatment and prevention.
