Appointment Information at a Glance
The Neuropsychology Clinic at UW Hospital and Clinics, which includes the Charles Matthews Neuropsychology Laboratory, performs comprehensive neuropsychological examinations for patients with known or suspected changes in cognition (memory, thinking and attention).
Evaluations are performed for patients with closed head injuries, stroke, multiple sclerosis, cancer, learning problems, concussions and traumatic brain injuries. Patients with epilepsy, Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, Parkinson's disease, memory disorders and many other neuropsychological conditions are also seen at our clinic.

- Comprehensive cognitive/behavioral assessments of pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric outpatients and inpatients
- Memory assessments
- Specialty procedures, including the Wada test (amobarbital memory and language testing)
- Pre-/post-testing for deep brain stimulation (DBS) and electroconvulsive therapy (ECT)
- Assessment of children and students with many different learning problems relating to medical conditions
