UW Health physicians are faculty of the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and as such, enjoy a rewarding clinical practice combined with enriching teaching and research opportunities.
 
UW Health has several full and part-time opportunities available throughout Madison and Dane County for qualifed Internists in community-based and university-academic clinic settings.
 
Community-Based Clinic
  • 95 percent clinical practice with up to 5 percent teaching
  • Clinic and hospital based practice
  • Manage your own patients in hospital
  • One half day without clinic (same day every week)
  • Call schedule group of ten to twelve (responsible for call once every ten to twelve days)
  • Hospital rounding is a shared responsibility - one out of every four weekends
  • Opportunities to interact with medical students (hospital and clinic) and residents (hospital)
University-Academic Clinic
  • 90-95 percent clinical practice with 5-10 percent teaching and/or research
  • Clinic and hospital based practice
  • One half day without clinic (same day every week)
  • Outpatient call - shared by all monthly
  • Inpatient attending for a total of four weeks/year on a resident teaching service
  • Many opportunities to teach medical students and residents (inpatient wards and resident clinic)
