Alexis is an otolaryngology physician assistant employed by the University of Wisconsin Medical Foundation: 

 

"I work as a physician assistant with 7 physicians in the otolaryngology clinic at 1 S. Park Street. My job mainly entails seeing patients in clinic. At times, I go to the operating room because we are a surgical specialty office.

 

My role is to help the physicians, which can mean doing clinic follow ups, seeing urgent add-on patients and helping to get patients into our clinic in a timely fashion. I work independently, but always have physician support here.

 

The most rewarding part of my job is the patients! That is why I chose to go to PA (physician assistant) school. This practice allows me to see patients of all ages and to have patients that I am able to see on a regular basis to build relationships with. I enjoy working in a specialty practice. I work with a great team of physicians and nursing staff."
