New Employee Information at UW Hospital and Clinics

The New Employee Orientation (NEO) program welcomes employees with an introduction to UW Hospital and Clinics. NEO provides employees with a solid foundation by offering the information, resources and support necessary to help them adapt to and learn about the UW Hospital and Clinics environment and superior brand of service.

NEO Content
 
NEO speakers discuss the following topics:
  • UW Hospital and Clinics' mission and vision
  • Finding your way around the hospital
  • Patient and life safety measures and confidentiality
  • Customer service expectations
  • Infection control
  • Policies and procedures and employee benefits
The NEO Session
 
NEO is held at the hospital (600 Highland Avenue) on Mondays (Tuesdays, if Monday is a holiday). Sessions begin at 7:30am.
 
Beverages, light breakfast items and lunch are provided at no charge. Employees receive a manual, quick reference guide, map and other materials needed for their first day of employment.
 
A one day parking pass for Lot 76 is provided by the Recruitment Center for New Employee Orientation prior to your first day.
 
New employees are expected to dress in business casual attire (dress pants or khakis, dress shirts/blouses or collared sports shirts, casual dresses, sweaters, etc.). Student Employees
 
Student employee orientation sessions occur on the second and fourth Mondays each month from 4:45-7pm at the hospital (600 Highland Avenue).
 
The subjects discussed at student orientation are an abbreviated version of those discussed at full-day New Employee Orientation. Employees receive a manual and other materials needed for their first day of employment.
 
Parking is available in Lot 76 at no charge after 4:30pm.
 
Students are expected to dress in business casual attire (dress pants or khakis, dress shirts/blouses or collared sports shirts, casual dresses, sweaters, etc.).
