About the Spasticity and Movement Disorders Clinic

The Spasticity and Movement Disorders Clinic's interdisciplinary team of professionals works together to address the needs of children and young adults with neurological disorders causing abnormalities of muscle tone. Children and their families receive a comprehensive evaluation by the interdisciplinary staff from nursing, neurosurgery, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and rehabilitation medicine.

Clinic Goals

• Provide individualized and comprehensive plans for the management of spasticity and other movement disorders. Treatments may include oral medications, botox injections, orthopedic operations, or neurosurgical procedures, including intrathecal baclofen, deep brain stimulation and other procedures
• Coordinate long-term follow-up around interventions for tone management
