| Collection Instructions: |
|
Follow standard aseptic collection procedures. Within 1 hour of collection, express the aspirated synovial fluid directly into a pre-filled CytoLyt Specimen Collection Cup. DO NOT pour off ANY of the CytoLyt fluid prior to adding the sample.
NOTE: THIS PROCEDURE IS FOR CYTOLOGY SPECIMENS ONLY. Please refer to the Lab Test Directory for other tests that are performed on synovial fluid.
