Interpretation
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
| Negative: |
No detectable IgG antibodies to Mumps virus. Patient is presumed to be non-immune and is susceptible to a primary infection |
| Equivocal: |
Immune status cannot be determined. If clinically warranted, a second sample should be taken at least fourteen days after the first. |
| Positive: |
Reactive for IgG antibodies to Mumps virus, indicating a current or past Mumps virus infection or prior vaccination against Mumps virus. |
All equivocal test results will be repeated within two working days.
