| Collection Instructions: |
|
Draw blood in a pre-chilled, lavender-top (EDTA) tube from a fasting (8-10 hrs) patient. Chill tube prior to drawing by placing in a coolant pack until tube is chilled or by calling the UWHC Core Laboratory (263-7060) for a pre-chilled tube.

| Specimen Transport: |
|
For in-house patients, immediately transport specimen to UWHC Core Laboratory (B4/220) on a coolant pack. If coming from outreach location, transport frozen plasma aliquot on dry ice to UWHC Core Laboratory (B4/220).
