Saliva or 24-hour pooled sputums are not acceptable specimens.

Interpretation
|
|
|
|
| Additional Information: |
|
Culture results include: Negative; Species identification when mycobacterial growth is detected; Culture overgrown with non acid-fast organisms.
Mycobacterial susceptibility testing recommended for M. tuberculosis isolates.
