Sputum, tissue, or 2.0 mL of body fluids in sterile, screw top container. Urine is appropriate only when disseminated mould (not Candida) infection is suspected. A single specimen is sufficient for performing fungal and aerobic/anaerobic culture if collected in anaerobic transport (ACT 1) tube.
