| Additional Information: |
|
A test result that is positive should be interpreted in conjunction with other clinical and laboratory data. While pregnancy is the most likely reason for the presence of hCG in urine, other clinical conditions that produce hCG include menopause, ectopic pregnancies, subclinical abortions, gestational trophoblastic disease and malignancies which produce hCG ectopically.
