Arjang (Aji) Djamali, MD, is Chief of our Nephrology Division.The kidney/nephrology specialists at UW Health in Madison, Wisconsin, provide a complete range of consultative, diagnostic and treatment services for patients with kidney diseases, and your support is crucial to our work.
 
From Our Division Chief:
 

Our clinical services include inpatient care at the University of Wisconsin Hospital, William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital, and Meriter Hospital. We also provide outpatient care at the Wisconsin Dialysis, Inc., UW Kidney Clinics and UW Hospital and Clinics.

 

We provide specialized services for Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), glomerular diseases, End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), solid organ transplantation, interventional nephrology, kidney stone disease and other kidney related treatments. Collaboration with other divisions such as transplant, pediatric nephrology, and maternal-fetal medicine enhance our nephrologists' expertise allowing our faculty and staff to extend world class care to our patients.

 

Our division's core values are commitment, professionalism and collegiality. Our pursuit of clinical, translational, and basic research has led to frequent publication in leading nephrology journals in addition to providing routine presentations for meetings at national and international levels. Employing traditional and innovative techniques we are involved in a number of ongoing studies related to multiple aspects of kidney disease.

 

We are dedicated to the future of our fellows who are directly involved in all aspects of research, education, and patient care during their training. Daily conferences share our practical knowledge base, preparing our trainees for diversified renal therapy and treatment. Our graduates enjoy success in academia and private practice across the globe.
