The nutrition therapy emphasis of UW Hospital and Clinics' Dietetic Internship Program provides opportunities for interns to develop entry-level competencies in clinical nutrition, food service administration and community nutrition. The nutrition therapy competencies allow for additional learning experiences with clients who have more complex medical and nutritional needs.

 

The internship is currently granted accreditation status by the American Dietetic Association Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education (CADE). CADE is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and the United States Department of Education (USDE). Graduates of the program are eligible to earn the title of registered dietitian upon successful completion of the registration examination for dietitians.

 

Curriculum
