HIV/AIDS Community Advisory Council
The UW Health HIV/AIDS Comprehensive Care Program at University Hospital uses an interdisciplinary approach to treatment and care, beginning with prevention and early intervention and continuing through the course of illness. Our goal is to offer high-quality, state-of-the-art care, including patient education and counseling and access to clinical drug studies.
About the HIV/AIDS Community Advisory Council (CAC)
The mission of the UW Health HIV/AIDS Comprehensive Care Program Community Advisory Council is to provide a voice for our patient community. The CAC will work in partnership with program staff to enhance and improve the services delivered to our patients.
We are currently recruiting new CAC members for 2016. Please complete an application if you are interested in becoming a member. Applications are due January 4, 2016. Application form (pdf)
Requirements for CAC membership:
- Current patient of the UW Health HIV/AIDS Comprehensive Care Program
- Able to commit to a two-year term and attend bi-monthly meetings
- Able to provide insight and constructive feedback that will help UW Health HIV/AIDS Comprehensive Care Program improve the quality of services provided to patients
- Willing to communicate and work with patients and program staff whose backgrounds, experiences and styles might be different than your own
